Wasatch Mountains
The Wasatch Mountains provide the eastern backdrop for Salt Lake City and some of the greatest snow on Earth. Salt Lake's ski resorts are ranked among the best in the world and the varied terrain and dry powder makes it a great place for beginners to experts alike. The Canyons also offers hiking, backpacking, mountain biking and rock climbing in the warmer months. Snowbird and Alta ski areas are found in Little Cottonwood Canyon and Solitude Mountain Resort and Brighton Ski resort are located in Big Cottonwood Canyon.
