Description:
This casual, airy restaurant is in one of the oldest buildings in this part of Ogden, built in 1888 and restored in 1984. There's a narrow dining room and a magnificent old wooden bar complete with mirrors behind the glassware, a large atrium dining room, and a flower- and shrub-filled outdoor patio for warm-weather dining. The changing menu blends American and European cuisines, with choices such as New York steak with Gorgonzola and balsamic vinegar and Parmesan-battered halibut with Cajun sauce. Desserts are terrific; choose from daily-baked cheesecake and "fuzzy peaches," batter-fried peach halves served with ice cream and drizzled with raspberry sauce. The bistro also offers a children's menu and full liquor service.
