Market Street Oyster Bar - Salt Lake City

  • Description:

    • The first thing that is noticed upon entering Salt Lake's favorite social club, The Market Street Oyster Bar Downtown, is the sumptuous display of fresh seafood on ice. Fresh oysters, lobster, crab, mussels, and clams are served by the bushel every day, as well as delicious steaks, fresh salads, chowders, and sandwiches. Along the octagonal bar, in the center of the restaurant, are steam kettles where Bouillabaisse and Lobster Bisque are prepared to order in full view of dining guests. Another feast for the eyes are the painted architectural columns where local Utah artists have showcased their vibrant artwork, inspired by the painted columns rendered by the impressionists in the celebrated Parisian bistro, La Coupole. The extensive fresh menu, the art, the architecture, and the energy of the staff create an atmosphere that attracts a large, eclectic crowd for lunch, dinner, Sunday brunch, and late night dining. It's only a short walk from downtown hotels and entertainment venues.
