Description:
On the south side of the Ogden River, the Prairie Schooner is so named because every dining table is modeled after a prairie schooner -- that's a covered wagon for you Eastern folk. The Western theme doesn't end there; the dining room features life-size campfire dioramas, a stuffed wolf, and a facade modeled after Old West storefronts. But what's kept the place in business for 30 years are the steaks, including a monster 32-ounce porterhouse and a 22-ounce T-bone, as well as those of the chicken-fried, ground, and shish-kabob varieties. There is also a full selection of seafood and surf-and-turf combos, and a smattering of chicken. Lunch is composed of sandwiches and a few items from the grill. Full liquor service is available.

We went to this restaurant for the first time and it was so neat! It had covered wagons in it that you eat in and they decorated the restaurant like the old west. The food was delicious....
