  • NileGuide Expert Says:

Best sushi; possibly best restaurant in Salt Lake.

  • NileGuide Expert tip:

Takashi does not take reservations. Get there much ahead of the rush (5:30), or plan to spend some time at Kristauf's martini bar (immediately next door, to the east) while you wait for your table.

    Description:

    • Certainly the best sushi restaurant in Salt Lake City, and often voted the best overall restaurant. A very modern and creative sushi establishment, this creates culinary art in its specialties where most sushi places create weirdness. In addition to the top-notch sushi, a number of other contemporary Japanese dishes appear on the menu. Be sure to save room for sake; there's quite a list of both hot and cold selections. Located in a bright, funky, yet elegant space downtown on Salt Lake restaurants' most prime real eastate, Market Street.

      Best Sushi in SLC

    • A must do if you are a shusi fan. By FAR, the best in the entire state. Maybe one of the best in the West. Be sure to get the sakitini too!
