    Description:

    • The Front Climbing Club, located just west of downtown Salt Lake City, offers some of the best indoor bouldering in the U.S. And because it's a bouldering facility only (i.e. has no *roped* climbing), you don't even need a partner or belaying skills to have fun there. All you need is shoes and a chalk bag -and these can even be rented at the front desk. The walls feature plenty of angles -from slightly less than vertical to quite overhanging. There is more than 10,000 square feet of climbing surface and a very good problem-setting crew. In addition to climbing, they offer yoga and kettlebells classes most evenings of the week, a selection of cardio machines, a weight room, and a systems/ training-specific wall.

The Front often hosts local and regional competitions, as well as certain professional-level events. Most citizens' comps take place during the fall, winter, and spring. The pro events usually align with the Outdoor Retailer fall and summer shows- usually in January or February and August.
