This rock climbing gym has been a Salt Lake classic since 1992. With over 7,500 square feet of climbing space, it certainly offers plenty of recreation and training ground for anyone, beginner or expert. Though small and dated when compared to Salt Lake's other larger, more modern, and specialized climbing gyms, it nonetheless offers bouldering, toproping, and lead climbing.Rockreation is definitely the area's most aged gym -you'll recognized it by its design and climbing holds. But for those living and working in the South Salt Lake area, it provides a great opportunity for evening training -or even lunch break climbing for those working at the Black Diamond headquarters in the same building. And located in one of the country's biggest and most active climbing hubs, Rockreation enjoys expert gym staff and route setters. Shoe and harness rentals -and even a bit of instruction- can be acquired here.
Open daily, rain or shine (with occasional closure for route setting).
