Description:
In this excellent reading-oriented museum you can climb into a two-story faux tree with a spiral staircase in its trunk; participate in daily arts and crafts activities; or "step into stories" by authors from near and far. The "American Dream" exhibit boasts an impressive giant floor map of the United States and a kid-size Oval Office with exhibits on U.S. presidents. In the "Utah Heritage" area, kids explore a pioneer schoolhouse and store, and try their hands at creating American Indian pictographs. Events include hourly storytelling programs and seasonal plays in the 132-seat theater; call for showtime information. Allow at least 1 hour.
