Carpe Diem Finest Fingerfood is a new concept in Salzburg dining, a huge, exclusively styled pub on two floors, with lounges, a cafe area and bar. Gasthof zum Fidelen Affen, set on the eastern edge of the river near the Staatsbrücke, is a loud, animated and jovial spot with good pub grub. For something different, try Nagano, on the wonderfully renovated Artis Hof in the middle of Salzburg. The decor is understated but elegant and on a warm day you can sit out in the square. Tascaria Maredo is part of the Tascaria Maredo chain and is located in the Judengasse, an extension of the Getreidegasse. Austria is generally known for its hearty food, so you should be able to find a filling meal at a good price among the cheap restaurants of Salzburg.
