Ikarus - Salzburg
  • Cuisines: International, Fusion
  • NileGuide Expert tip:

Dining at Ikarus is an evening's entertainment on its own. Don't try to combine it with a concert or theatre. Allocate the money, plan to take a taxi, and give yourself over to the experience.

  • Description:

    • This sleekly elegant room hovers over the aircraft in the ultra-modern Hangar 7, the museum created by Red Bull entrepreneur Dietrich Mateschitz to house his collection of exotic cars and aircraft. Restaurant Ikarus offers a different kind of journey however; without leaving Salzburg, you can experience the culinary masterpieces of star chefs from all around the globe. Each guest chef presides over the kitchen for a month at a time, presenting a unique eight-course, degustation menu. Discreet attentive service enhances the dining experience. Consider it an investment of an evening as well as considerable cash: the prix-fixe meal stretches to nearly four hours. (No à la carte menu is available.) Hangar 7 is located just west of Salzburg's Mozart Airport.
