Romantic and intimate, Restaurant Wasserfall is tucked away in a corner of Kapuzinerberg on the right bank. It serves classic Mediterranean cuisine, excellently prepared and enlivened by regional ingredients. The fresh fish is particularly good. One recent evening saw monkfish exquisitely prepared, with slivers of pumpkin seeds providing interesting texture and crunch. Seasonal delights are celebrated, included spring asparagus and fresh chanterelles in the fall. It features a fine wine list. The ambience is elegant yet relaxing, with the calming sounds of falling water from the stream flowing through the room. Just steps from the small square known as Platzl, Wasserfall is easy to overlook.
