  • You might think of San Antonio as a boots-and-Wranglers sort of music scene but in fact it varies widely, from country to classical to disco. Leon Springs Dance Hall has a relaxed small-town atmosphere where people of all ages can talk, listen to local country bands, dance, and enjoy beer and barbecue. Floore's Country Store is famous for its live country music, and rightfully so. For 60 years it has been showcasing some of the finest country music acts, from names we all know (Willie Nelson) to those who have yet to be discovered. The Bonham is a large and popular nightclub a couple of blocks away from Rivercenter Mall. Although the Bonham still primarily sees itself as a lesbian/gay club, times have changed and it now boasts a more diverse clientele. Polly Esther's is totally retro, totally kitsch and totally fun. The dance club occupies three floors of a former office building overlooking the River Walk. The first floor features '90s and current music and is decked up with plenty of mirrors, silver tones and neon colors. Boots or Dr. Martens - whatever your choice of dancing shoe, San Antonio can accommodate.
