- Formerly a working hill-country ranch, this hotel is now one of three resorts that calls San Antonio home. The property was designed to create the feeling of a large ranch house, and it works, especially while you're rocking on the back veranda, curling up in an overstuffed chair in front of the lobby fireplace or stretching out under the trees as the kids play in the pool. The resort is a beautiful sight to behold, having been constructed of native materials and landscaped with native plants. Adjacent to the resort is a challenging 18-hole golf course offering one of the best rounds in the San Antonio area. There is also a huge double green that serves both the 9th and 18th holes.
