• The Austin, Texas landmark finally made its way a little closer to the border. Chuy's boasts decor that could most politely be called kitschy: painted wooden fish hanging from the ceiling, an enormous jalapeno pinata and framed black-and-white photos of other Mexican restaurants in the city, to name a few of the oddities. The food is delicious and, thankfully, not mainstream. Enjoy chicken enchiladas made with blue corn tortillas, "big as yo' face" burritos and the Elvis Presley Memorial Combo (a platter of oversized servings of enchiladas, tacos and queso).
