Braunig Lake

Operated by the San Antonio River Authority, it offers a chance for anglers of all ages to catch catfish, shad, bluegill, crappie and red drum. For the inexperienced, there is a fishing guide service on the lake. You will also find boat rentals, picnic areas, and camping grounds. Regardless of the season, be sure to pack your sunscreen—the South Texas sun can be brutal.
