Fannin Battleground State Historical Park

• Visitors to this State Park are attracted to the site's ability to provide access to a historical turn of the century battleground.

  Facilities include restroom without showers; picnic sites; a pavilion that seats 75; an interpretive center; and a playground. There is an entrance fee.

  Nearby points of interest include Goliad State Historical Park, which contains the partially restored Mission Nuestra Senora del Esp¡ritu Santo de Zuniga; General Zaragoza's birthplace in Goliad; Choke Canyon State Park; Tips State Park (operated by the City of Three Rivers); and Port Lavaca Fishing Pier.

  Fannin Battleground State Historical Park is situated within the Gulf Coast region of Texas. The park is located 9 miles east of Goliad on US Highway 59 to City of Fannin, then south on Park Road 27 for 1 mile.
