• The Freeman Coliseum is home to the Central Hockey League team, the San Antonio Iguanas. This is more than just a sports venue. It has been visited by musicians such as rockers KISS, Elvis Presley, Lawrence Welk, Roy Rogers, Rod Stewart, and rappers Run DMC and Salt 'N' Peppa. But 1977 was definitely a year to remember as 10 major rock concerts were held here. Other events are also hosted, such as car shows, wrestling matches, religious ceremonies, arts and crafts shows and hunting and fishing expositions.
