Description:
- Landmark Inn's Historical Resource Center contains materials on the history of the property and its occupants; as well as material on the development and growth of Medina County and Castroville from 1690 till the present. For day-use visitors, there is an interpretive exhibit hall, which tells of the development of Castroville, Landmark Inn, and the mill. There is a 1/4-mile nature trail; an exhibit center, that describes the history of Castroville; a picnic area; and a swim-at-your-own-risk area by the dam. A fire ring is available in the park. No ground fires. Bring your fishing rod and fish in the Medina River. Containerized cooking is permitted outdoors, but public consumption and display of alcoholic beverage containers is not allowed.The park is located just off US Highway 90 West within the city limits of Castroville, at the corner of Florence Street and US Highway 90. This is immediately south of the Medina River Bridge. Landmark Inn is 15 miles west of San Antonio or 100 miles southwest of Austin. Castroville's bus station is about 200 yards away from the park. The municipal airport is only a mile away.
