Medina Lake

Description:

• A commercial boat ramp is available at Red Cove Camp in Mico, with restrooms and parking nearby. The ramp is concrete until the lake levels drop below 30 feet, then gravel bank launching is required. A small fee is required to launch. A county park is located at the end of Park Road 37. Facilities include a swimming area, restrooms, boat ramp and boat dock. The park is open 7 days a week from 7 am to 9 pm. A fee per vehicle will be charged. Annual passes are available; inquire at the gate. Predominant Fish Species: Largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, hybrid striped bass, white bass, channel, blue and flathead catfish, carp and gar. Medina Lake is located 40 miles northwest of San Antonio in Bandera and Medina counties.
