• Located at Padre Park, this tequila-intensive bar and restaurant is jammed around games, but quieter on the off-nights when it appeals to local inhabitants of the downtown area. It has a quirky flair along with the only USD 300  margarita, the "El Chilango", in San Diego. Aside from that, the prices are very reasonable, and happy-hour deals qualify as a cheap thrill. The food relies on traditional ingredients, such as zucchini blossoms and Oaxaca cheese, which actually gives many dishes a "nouveau" flair in Mexican-food-saturated San Diego. - deTraci Regula
