The Best of NileGuide
- If you want a real burrito, San Diego is the place to get it. After all, depending on where you are, the border of Mexico is give or take 20-ish miles away. There is no post-immigration influence or style differences. This is how the burrito was made to be. You can get yourself a massive plate burrito at a fancy restaurant in La Jolla that requires cutlery to attack, or a SoCal drive-through burrito and cruise down to the beach. San Diego also has a thriving microbrewery and bistro community. North Park is loaded with unique restaurants like The Linkery, an upscale sausage place where you can buy the best sausage that $15 can buy along with fresh from the cask offerings from Stone Brewery, San Diego's resident high-caliber brew masters. Stone is in North County, but well worth the drive for the massive amount of taps they have on hand between their own line-up of beers and guest beers, along with a bottle list that screams for the wallet. If you're looking for beer tourism, Stone, Pizza Port in Solana Beach, and AleSmith in the Miramar/Mira Mesa area are all highly rated, highly touted breweries that go where traditional brewers never dream of going.
