The Best of NileGuide
- Depending on where you want to stay in San Diego, you can do any number of hotel arrangements, but most of them will probably involve the beach and/or a margarita. Downtown has your usual posh big name hotels, and with the gentrification brought on by Petco Park in recent years, many new hotels in the East Village area with the Gaslamp Quarter just a short walk away. The world famous Hotel Del Coronado is on the Coronado peninsula, and demands big bucks. Moving on up the beach North, you can stay in an old-school barracks-type motel in Point Loma and soak up a local flavor different from downtown, or up the famed beaches at Mission or Pacific beach, where the 20-somethings hang out.
