  • San Diego's downtown is a district dedicated to gastronomic affairs. The city streets aren't filled with attractions but with food in varying degrees and sizes. There is everything you can find in a few blocks, from Thai to Indian, Californian and Mexican, if you are craving something you'll find it here.

Some of the best and most sought after restaurants are in central San Diego, including Seasucker, Ocean Room, Oceanaire, The Tipsy Crow, Ra Sushi, Royal Thai Cuisine, The Cheese Shop and Hennessy's. This part of the city caters to all walks of life - from the street rats who are in search of something greasy late at night, or the people who are seen and want to be seen.

Oddly enough, forty years ago San Diego's downtown was one of the more undesired places in the city. Since then, renovations have turned this part of the city around - making it one of the hottest places to go out to drink, dance at a nightclub, eat at a find restaurant or walk around and simply people watch.
There are places everywhere to enjoy food up and down the city centre, but choose wisely because not everything is going to fit your crew perfectly.
