  • The great thing about the convention center is that it is in the heart of San Diego's Gaslamp. The newly renovated building is central to the city centre, a rare feat is most large cities that entertain as many conventions and events as San Diego's Convention Center does annually. Just a block in walking distance of some of the greatest restaurants, hotels, nightclubs and bars in the city, the Convention Center offer partners with local favorites to showcase the city's specialties.



    The Convention Center in San Diego is located on Harbor Drive, several blocks away from the Petco Park where the Padres play and just one block from the start of Gaslamp District. For an ideal entertainment, whether you're at the Convention Center all day or just during the afternoon, is grabbing a bite to eat. As some of the best eating experiences are just a few meters away from the several thousand square feet center.



    Pick and choose your flavor, whether it's Thai at Royal Thai, seafood at Oceanaire or Californian at Searsucker. There are endless possibilities on Broadway in the Gaslamp District, but it isn't just what you're hungry for that attracts so many visitors. Likewise, the Convention Center hosts a variety of other attractions diversifying the city, including the Civic Center where Broadway comes to town, movie theaters, great bars like The Hopping Pig, La Puerta or Syrah, and entertaining dance clubs like Stingaree, On Broadway or Envy.
