Barona Cultural Center & Museum

Barona Cultural Center & Museum - San Diego

  • Description:

    • As vistors tour the various alcoves, photographs, and archives that make up the 3,000 artifacts of the Barona Cultural Center and Museum, they will learn about artifacts that date back up to 10,000 years. The Barona Cultural Center and Museum consists of artifacts of all indigenous people throughout the Americas, though they focus on Native Americans from southern and baja California. The Cultural Center encourages teachers to reserve guided tours for their classes of no more than 30, which begin with 30 minutes of teaching and ends with 10-minute tours. For those unable to bring their classes to the Barona Cultural Center and Museum, they offer to come to groups and classes who would like to learn more about California's Native American culture. - Erick Pettersen
