Description:

  • The San Felipe Section of the PCT extends from Scissor's Crossing (at the junction of Highway 78 and S2) north along a VERY DRY portion of the trail called San Felipe Hills to the Montezuma Valley Road (S22). The southern segment traverses Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and the entire section offers great views into the desert.

You MUST carry a lot of water, as none is available along the entire 25 miles.

Forest maps available at Palomar Ranger District Office located on Black Canyon Road in Ramona.
