• Poetry readings in the semi-secret back room make this place extra alluring for the crowd that likes its good times low key, low lit, and low maintenance. Lit only by red candles and the occasional indie-flick playing silently on the far wall, Dalva is a relaxed bar with tasty sangria and good cheap beer; that is until the post-movie crowd from the Roxie next door and the nightclubbing kids heading for Mission dancehalls hit the scene. Then the bartenders get swamped, elbow room gets scarce, and your conversation, well... you can forget about it. But so what; just look at all the pretty people. Note: No credit cards, cash only.
