Four Barrel Coffee - San Francisco

  • Description:

    • Extending from the iron-doored entrance clear through to the back alley, this roastery/cafe's done up rugged (exposed plank ceiling/masonite chairs/chunky wood tables) and presided over by a feral combo of video gamey animal art and boars' heads. Hit the daily cupping station for French press action (Central and South American, African, Indonesian...), or the enormous espresso bar for specialty drinks, Dynamo Donuts, and pie from "Baking Pie and Taking Names" (a flaky subdivision of Stallone's Scones).
