• It's in the off-the-beaten-path part of SOMA, but Terroir is one of the best wine bars in the city specializing in French wines. Downstairs offers a great atmosphere for intimate conversation, or take your larger group up to the mezzanine and spread out at a larger table. The food choices are rather limited (usually just a cheese platter), but on some nights of the week, the Chez Spencer food truck is parked across the street, offering French takeaway food and some excellent pairing opportunities.
