Top 10:

Kid-friendly - San Francisco Hotels

  • The Best of NileGuide
  •      When traveling with children, it's always nice to stay in a place that caters to their special needs. The hotels we've selected below all offer something special for children; kids menus available through room service, free beach balls for the pool or even babysitting services so that harried parents get a chance to enjoy the sights of San Francisco on their own for a night.
Some hotels like the Hotel del Sol are located right near kid mecca Fisherman's Wharf, negating the need to travel far to get to fun activities like the Wax Museum or Ghirardelli Square. For a luxury experience, try the Ritz-Carlton, which offers free toys and games for the kids at check-in. If you need extra sleeping space, rollaway beds and cribs are available, some for a fee and some free, depending on the location. The Omni Hotel even has a kid suite; child-friendly lodging that sleep four and includes milk and cookies every night. Parents can book the adjoining King room for themselves.
Some hotel rooms will offer kitchenettes, allowing you to stock up on and prepare your child's favorite snacks or to prepare a bottle for your infant. Coin-operated laundry may be on-site to save you money on expensive hotel laundry services for those inevitable spills and stains. Kids love swimming; indoor or heated pools will let them swim to their heart's content even during cool weather. Some hotels even offer classes for children where they can make fun crafts, do holiday activities and meet other children staying in the hotel near their age.
