- Monetta White teamed up with her husband, Chef David Lawrence, to create 1300 on Fillmore, a relaxing restaurant with good food in the heart of the historic jazz district on Fillmore. Combining flavors and techniques from the North and South using locally-sourced ingredients, Lawrence calls his style "Soulful American." There is often live jazz music, and the warm and classy decor makes this a comfortable, cozy place to wait for your friends or spend the evening. A wall featuring framed old pictures of jazz singers and the neighborhood pays tribute to the Fillmore's rich history.
