User Review:

  • Yats is one place to throw caution to the wind and dive head first into a murky bowl of gumbo, replete with intact crawfish. Don't mind the guy smoking at the pinball machine or the fact that you're eating seafood in a dive bar called Jack's Club--it's all part of the experience. Head to the small window at the end of the bar, where two women in a kitchen the size of a walk-in closet pore over all the fixings for true Cajun comfort food: oyster po' boys, jambalaya, crawfish etoufee, red beans and rice, catfish, mac 'n cheese, and cornbread. With five nondescript tables, a long bar, juke box, and pool table, it's clear that you didn't come for the decor. But one bite of their specialty "Debris with gravy" po' boy will convince you to come back anyway.
