• Three ladies, Cass, Lisa and Nile, run this cute and funky shop on 21st Street in the Mission. They sell selected crafts, clothing, furnishings, decorations, jewelry, neti pots and more. Much of their inventory comes from over 40 local designers and creators while other items are secondhand, vintage treasures. It's a mix of handmade things, new things, old things and a charming California 1970's surfer eco-hipster aesthetic. These friendly young ladies also host a variety of workshops, events and the "exchange of inspiration," like art openings, Bean-themed potlucks and pickling workshops. Gravel & Gold's blog is not only interesting and entertaining but is also a good source of information for goings on in the local art and music community.
