  • NileGuide Expert tip:

Since the show is at Candlestick Point, make sure you prepare for windy conditions. And don't plan on walking back from the show after dark. Surrounding neighborhoods are a little dodgy.

  • Description:

    • KFOG, a San Francisco radio station, puts on its annual concert/festival and fireworks show (set to "world-class" rock) the weekend before Memorial Day every year. But up until this year it was held at the premier location of Piers 15 and 17 on the Embarcadero, not too far from AT&T Park and the nightlife of SoMA and easily accessed via BART and MUNI. This year, unfortunately, The City ruled that the piers are unsafe for large crowds, so the show has been moved to Candlestick Point. Attendance will be down, for sure, but that doesn't mean you should pass. Melissa Etheridge headlines, John Butler Trio and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals open, and the fireworks will once again be spectacular. Admission is only $15 in advance, $20 (cash-only) at the gate.
