massive question and the proper answer is " everything your heart desires " - I think that's why people leave their hearts here, to bloated to get on the plane. The food scene is excellent - from top notch restaurants like Gary Denko (eat at the bar if there's 1-2 of you much more fun), to down home BBQ at Baby Blues, or head to the Mission for authentic Mexican food or Hipster hang-outs, plus tons more. - for sights there's the oldies but goodies, The Golden Gate Bridge - park up on Crissy fields and walk to the bridge if you fancy watching some locals recreating then head to nearby Chestnut st to grab some food. Golden gate park and the new Cal Academy of Sciences and the De Young museum. If you hire a car head North on Highway 1 for some awesome windy coastal roads. - so loads to see - to many to list - have a great time.

If it is your first time in SF, definitely do a trip to Alcatraz. Aside from being a great morning or afternoon trip, you get the added bonus of seeing SF from the bay. Make an advanced reservation as it sells out. While you are down at Fisherman's Wharf, get some crab or chowder in a sourdough bread bowl.
