Going to #San_Francisco for a few days, are there any places to see or experience that are on the less traveled path?

Don't go to see the Golden Gate Bridge, Coit Tower, China town, etc., then there won't be any tourists. This is a normal things to do and see when you go places to see thing. Go to London and won't see the London bridge, or big ben. Go to Egypt and won't see the Pyramids. . .
If you choose not to go to these places where there are more traveled--there is no other place. Well, if you want to go to the Castro district where there is the heart of city- of the city of gay capital in the world. There, you might find the less traveled, however, you will not find less crownd.

One suggestion I have is to check out Alamo Square and adjacent Hayes Valley. Alamo Square is famous for the "painted ladies" Victorian style houses. The view from the park toward downtown is iconic. I believe 1 of the homes is open for tours (book in advance). Afterward, head east a few blocks down Hayes Street for great boutique store shopping and eating in the Hayes Valley neighborhood.
