hotels near start of bay to breakers?

Any place downtown will be close to the start or within walking distance. Search for hotels near Union Square, the Transamerica Building, or the Convention Center here (http://www.nileguide.com/destination/san-francisco/hotels/options).
An alternative is to try to find a hotel at the FINISH line. There are several hotels out near Ocean Beach. There are ample MUNI shuttles to the start line in the morning for around $10 (I think). Although not as fancy as some of the downtown hotels, you might thank yourself after the race.
