Cinco de Mayo is quickly approaching and I need to know the best place in San Francisco to celebrate. I'm looking for parties, festivals, bars...pretty much anywhere to celebrate.

Just about every bar, restaurant, taqueria in the Mission area of San Francisco will be celebrating....and most Mexican Restaurants in the Bay Area. Don't know of any specific parties but you might check both Yelp! & SFGate.com for special events.

Hi Susan - thanks so much for you recommendations. I actually just found out about a fun Cinco de Mayo party at a bar down in the Financial District called Averntine. They have an alley that they're blocking off and setting up music, food, and drink stations. I'm not sure if it will be the most authentic celebration, but it sure sounds like fun. Cheers.
