Public Question Asked by Tyler about San Francisco

I've been to quite a few bars in SF, but what I'm really interested in is knowing where to find the BEST martini bar. Not a gin martini...no thanks, but where is the best place to go for a top notch dry vodka martini with an olive with a cool vibe?

I'd try Olive or Martunis for a good martini.

I'd try Zam Zam in the upper haight - old school martini bar. Part of SF history

Just tried the Waterbar on Embarcadero and thoroughly enjoyed 2 martinis. I hit it up at sunset with a table right on the water...not sure if it was being on the water with people everywhere or the martinis, but it sure was a lovely time!

Whoa...that's a toughie!...particularly since I'm more of a wine person. I think the suggestions below are good but try Bacar(448 Brannan in SoMa) as well...they pride themselves on their vast array of vodkas.

Cheers!

Thanks Susan - I used to live down in Soma but never made it to Bacar...I will definitely check it out next time I'm in the mood for a martini...good to know they take pride in the good stuff.
