hey Monkey ... restaurants are popping up all over the place. Some of my current new favorites are Hog and Rocks, Local Mission Eatery, The Commonwealth Club, Heirloom (most of these are in or around the Mission)

Prospect is relatively new; it's the sister restaurant to Boulevard, it's slick, expensive, and very good food. Locanda just opened in the Mission. Chambers Eat + Drink in the Phoenix Hotel is a cool new place with a hip vibe. Find Izakaya at Nojo in Hayes Valley. Leopold's on Polk St for Austrian cuisine. Bar Agricole probably hasn't hit guidebooks yet, and it's awesome. Fabulous interior, innovative cocktails, and creative food preparation.
