- La Máscara (The Mask) is one of the most permanent and recognized independent theater groups in the capital. This theatre was granted to the group by the National Theater Company after a selection of projects presented by the independent groups in 1982. The theater group also offers classes where the students are the actors of the productions performed. The group's plays vary and feature classic works, experimental works and commercial comedies. It also presents plays for children. The modular space allows the company to feature two stages with a total seating capacity of 250 people. The decoration is simple; formal dress is not required.
