The Hill Top Restaurant - San Jose del Cabo
  • Cuisines: French
  • NileGuide Expert Says:

Best view in San Jose del Cabo.

  • NileGuide Expert tip:

The place to come when you truly want to impress someone. Order the Lobster Tail and Filet Mignon Demi-Glace with the Chateau Petit Figeac Grand Cru St. Emilion.

    Description:

    • Located within the Vista Encanto condominiums, this restaurant has the most incredible views of anywhere in Los Cabos. The food isn't bad either. In fact, it is terrific. Owner and chef Gabriel Cambon, a native of France, has been working in Mexico for many years and offers a menu rich in French favorites like Quiche Lorraine, Escargots de Bourgogne, Salad Nicoise, Fois Gras Manila, and Coq au Vin. They also offer steaks, Mexican influenced dishes, and excellent mariscos (shrimp ceviche, tuna sashimi, lobster bisque, and seared king scallops being especially notable). The wine list befits a French chef, and has the kind of treasures you rarely find in Los Cabos, where Mexican, California, and Italian wines are the norm. Get your fix of fine Chablis, Pouilly-Fuisse and other fine Burgundies, Champagne, or Bordeaux. This is a wow factor restaurant of the highest order, the kind of place you propose to your fiancee, or take your significant other when you have committed some unpardonable sin and desperately seek forgiveness.
