  The Thursday evening art walk is one of highlights of any visit to San Jose del Cabo, and runs from 5-9pm during high season (November through June). The galleries are all clustered together in the historic art district, which is one of the reasons you should forget the guided tours and enjoy this at your own pace. The tours only take you to a select group of galleries, and like to keep you moving. Sip wine, sample cheese, and look at the beautiful amber perfume bottles in Amber Gallery, the sculptures in Corsica Galeria de Arte, the custom frames in Galeria de Ida Victoria, or see the new Sondra Richardson showing in Casa Dahlia. There is no pressure to buy anything, although you will find some magnificent art here if you'd like to take something home from Baja other than a persistent facial tic every time someone mentions the word tequila. This is Los Cabos at its cultured best.
