The Best of NileGuide
- San Jose went through a period of explosive growth in the 1990's with advent of the internet. Most companies that created, survived and lived through the dotcom boom were based right here in Silicon Valley. This lead to a downtown revitalization with new restaurants, transportation and bars, but it also brought in the usual suspects in "high end" chain culinary establishments that dot the area. Whatever you make think of the McCormick and Schmicks and Johnny Rockets of the world, San Jose also has a lot of gems in experimentation. Finding them is half the fun.
