- Featuring a beachfront location and complimentary daily breakfasts, El Canario by the Lagoon sports air-conditioned, view-laden accommodation directly along San Juan's impressive coastline. While guests occasionally mentioned the hotel's shabby exterior, guestrooms were found as clean as they were comfortable. As no pool is on-site, visitors are granted access to the neighboring hotel's heated outdoor pool. The hotel by no means epitomizes 'luxury,' yet guests consistently praised its simple décor, comfortable interiors and unbeatable prices. Further highlights included free hotel-wide Wi-Fi, rooftop terrace and easy walking distance to innumerable surrounding dining options. Note that rooms facing the lagoon lack ample natural lighting, thus tend to be a bit darker.
