Doña Fela Museum

Description:

  • Located on the Caleta de San Juan, this museum pays tribute to the beloved and late Doña Felisa Rincón de Gautier. From 1946 to 1968, Doña Felisa worked as the mayor of San Juan; the first female in Puerto Rico's history to hold the position. The museum is her former home where original furnishings, artifacts, wardrobe and her famous wigs and accessories can be found. She was certainly an elegant lady and the museum is a showcase of not only her life and achievements, but also her sense of style.
