NileGuide Expert tip:
Dargan's celebrates Saint Patty's Day on the 17th of every month with discounts on traditional Irish dishes.
Dargan's is the Irish capital of Santa Barbara. Most of the pub's bartenders and waitstaff hail from Ireland and serve up Steak and Guinness pie, beer battered fish and chips, corned beef and cabbage, bangers and mash, and other favorites from the Emerald Isle. The traditional vibe of the place is rounded out by live folk music and specialty pints—such as Black & Tan, Harp Shandy, Black Velvet, and Snakebite—and of course, Irish Whiskey. Four pool tables take up most of the pool room, where locals challenge each other to matches late into the night. The main room has a large bar, dance floor, and a fireplace to cozy up to with a hot toddy on chilly evenings. If you're lucky enough to stop in on the 17th of any month, don't forget to ask about specials on Irish fare.
