- Cuisines: Italian
NileGuide Expert tip:
With twinkle lights, fire pits, and a bocce ball court out back, this is a great first date spot—as long as you both eat the garlic.
- Founded in 1937, Arnoldi's Cafe has been in favorite in town for more than 70 years. Classic Italian dishes are prepare to a tee—the lasagna is as good as your Nonna's recipe, and the Gnocchi Tricolore is a delicious nod to the Italian flag. The calamari is arguably the best in town, and the full bar and extensive wine list never fail to get people in the mood for some fierce bocce ball tourneys out back. The cafe is on Olive and Cota Streets, off the beaten track and a glimpse into the vibe of old Santa Barbara.
