• Bella Notte is a newly built, Mediterranean-inspired hotel that is on the "quiet side" of town. Right on East Cliff Drive, a lovely little tour of the coast that goes by beach hot spots like Seabright and Twin Lakes Beaches, Bella Notte offers a pleasurable alternative to the run-down budget motels that have come to dominate Santa Cruz. Bella Notte is a quick stroll to some of Santa Cruz's lesser known but arguably more beautiful beaches, like 14th Ave. and 26th Ave. beaches, Twin Lakes, and Seabright Beach. Since they are located further away from the more college-kid populated town center, these beaches have a mellower feel. Locals flock to them and the care they take of these prized sands is clearly evident. It is also close to the yacht harbor, another lesser explored and under appreciated attraction.
