• Saucy and sassy, Betty's Burgers is a long-running Santa Cruz chain that just opened the doors on the newest addition to the family: a hip Eat Inn on Pacific Ave. in downtown Santa Cruz. The hormone-free beef burgers have stayed the same, as have the addicting shoe-string fries, but this Betty's has a few more tricks up its sleeves, including a fully stocked bar. Other additions include a succulent 14oz Rib Eye steak, dinner salads, Mac n' Cheese, roasted chicken, and a warming chicken noodle soup. The interior decorating is as much a feast for the eyes as the plates are for the stomach. Half a "tin can tourist" RV is parked inside and funky graffiti plays on the walls. Leave room for a Marianne's milkshake, another welcome carry-over from the other locations. Oh, and don't forget the Lube.
